I was the president of Japanese Student Association which is one of the student organizations in ASUI. To introduce Japanese culture, we planned events for cultural exchange. Activities have been noted in local mass media.

Noh & Calligraphy Workshop
In February 2002, planned a workshop inviting professional Noh and calligraphy instructors to introduce Japanese culture. Around 400 people attended.

1000 Paper Cranes Workshop
After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, planned an event with local people to make 1000 origami cranes, a symbol of peace. Around 170 people gathered to make almost 2000 cranes, and the finished cranes were sent to the site of the tragedy in New York.

Cruise the World
In cooperation with University of Idaho exchange students from various countries, we planned a cultural exchange event in February 2001 to introduce the cultures of different countries. Over 1100 people attended the event.
